This case is stylish and has a phenomenal foam lining that I’m sure will provide very good shock absorption and scratch prevention. However, if you have anything more than a slim-line backplate on your iPad, don’t count on it fitting in this case. I have a Speck Candyshell on my iPad, which adds minimal bulk, and it absolutely will not fit. The plus side, of course, is that it is a nice, snug fit for your iPad (no bouncing around). But if you don’t want to carry a “naked” iPad around, or if you want more protection than basically a back cover, this is not the carry case for you. Also, the inner foam will probably not do well with the rubberized silicone skins based on fit and texture, but this is not something I have tested.
This carry case has no handle or option for a handle, nor is there a good place to put any kind of identification card if you (*gasp!*) lose it.
So, overall, it’s a nice, stylish case and it’ll probably do a good job of protecting your iPad from minor bumps and scratches, but it prevents you from using a decent case and lacks functionality.
