I just received this in the mail. My first impression is: cheap!
Sorry, don’t mean to be harsh, but that is honestly my 1st impression.
Don’t have the iPad in hand as yet–it’s being shipped to me. Now with that said, as an interim/temporary case, it might be OK.

This is exactly what I wanted for my iPad, a simple “no frills” cover for my iPad. It protects it perfectly and works as a stand to hold it horizontally by just flipping the cover back. I gave it 4 starts because it is not very luxurious but for the price, I highly recommend.

Not real leather as mentioned. Arrived bent in a flimsy mailer with no protection. I wanted this for around the house, using it in bed, on the couch, however discovered a big problem immediately. The inside felt-like cover sucks lint and cat hair to it like a magnet, so you literally have to lint roller it every time you use it around animals (anywhere in my home) before you shut it unless you want your screen covered with the same mess. Does have a slight smell, but not bad and I’m very particular about smells.
This would not be protective if you were carrying it around in public. The elastic bands do hold it it, but they look flimsy to me, like they will stretch out pretty easy (they’re just normal looking elastic like you’d find in a fabric store). I did not buy the Apple case because I read that it was sharp on the edges and uncomfortable to hold and I’m using my iPad as primarily a lap device. This is pretty comfortable to hold, but I think I’ll just look for a real leather one (like the Sena case I have for my iPhone) without the felt inside. I have a screen protector so I don’t really need the felt to protect the screen. Will probably end up returning this one if I can find something better.

Worth the price, but be warned that one of the elastic corner straps goes right across the sound volume adjustment and presses down on it. The result is that you get the sound icon in the center of the screen and can’t get rid of it. We fixed a little spacer below the strap so that it does not push down on the volume button.
We have the Apple case for our other iPad and like it better, but then it is twice the price.
